The colors are interesting, but it makes for a very pretty game. The components are of high quality, as you would expect.

The castle wall limits the choices on where new tiles can be placed, making it sometimes more restrictive than Carcassonne.

The pointy wooden pieces are the keeps. A player places his keep on the largest house he scores during the game. At final scoring, bonus points are awarded to the player with the largest keep.

The placement rules for towers and houses are less strict than in Carcassonne.

Final score was Jeff - 117 to Christina - 77. The point difference was largely the number of markets I scored plus the extra two tiles that let me score an incomplete road and house.
